In the scheme "Kharmore Sonchidia Award" by the Forest Department, Government of Madhya Pradesh, the farmers are rewarded with ₹5,000/- if a Kharmor bird is sighted in the private land of the farmer and ₹10,000/- if a Golden bird is sighted in the private land of the farmer.
